Comprehensive Ranking System

Economic immigration pathways are the most popular options for many immigrants to Canada. The number of skilled workers aspiring to settle in Canada is constantly growing. Canada wants to filter the most eligible applicants and accelerate their immigration to benefit its economy and demography.

The Express Entry draw sends the Invitation to Apply (ITA) to the most deserving candidates by conducting draws one every fortnight. The Express Entry system streamlines the applications for economic immigration through the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). It also expedites the approval process by providing Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to select immigrants for their faster immigration.

Overview

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) is part of the Express Entry process to select skilled workers for immigration by ranking each candidate’s Express Entry profile. The stronger your profile, the higher is your CRS ranking.

The CRS considers the following factors to award points to the Express Entry applicant:

  • Age
  • Education credentials
  • Work experience in the skilled occupation
  • Language proficiency
  • Provincial nomination

You can improve your CRS score by consulting an established immigration counselor who will assess your current profile and suggest ways to strengthen the same.

Immigration Refugees and Citizenship, Canada (IRCC) selects the highest-ranking applicants through the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). The CRS system assigns a maximum of 1200 points by thoroughly assessing the Express Entry profiles of applicants.
