The Latest Express Entry Draw Pushes CRS Scores below 500

The all-programs draw on Oct 26 sent Invitations to Apply to 4,750 candidates

The Oct 26 all-programs Express Entry draw witnessed CRS scores dropping below 500 for the first time since the all-programs draws began on July 6. Selected candidates under the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSW), Canadian Experience Class (CES), and Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) will receive Invitations to Apply.

CRS scores are steadily decreasing over the past Express Entry draws. Besides, the number of Invitations to Apply for each subsequent draw is growing. There is an increase of 500 ITAs in the previous Express Entry draws.

Future CRS scores

It is hard to predict the future CRS scores as multiple factors influence the minimum cut-off figures of each draw. The following are a few factors driving CRS scores:

No one can predict the total number of candidates in the Express Entry pool at the time of a particular draw. The CRS score will rise if more candidates are in the Express Entry pool and vice versa. The Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is planning to issue ITAs to thousands of aspiring candidates through each Express Entry draw. The total number of candidates to receive ITAs is unclear. The All-program Express Entry draw frequency may reduce to once every two months, affecting CRS scores.IRCC plans to introduce a few changes in the Express Entry system at the start of 2023, like the targeted Express Entry Draws. These changes will influence CRS scores in future draws.
